Now the work begins.....

After campaigning for the President for the past six months...I can now really get to work in helping those in the 'hood....I try to make connections with the lawmakers close to home. By doing so, I can find all the resources necessary to make sure that those in my area can benefit from the government incentives that are available. From help fight the killing in our community to fixing our streets we drive on everyday. Just because President Obama has won the election does not mean that our movement is over. We need to stay mobilized to assure that all our needs are now put into action. It is time that we work together to help each other. Easier said than done, I know. But we don't have the financial power that those on the right has, but we have enough hardworking working people who are determined to be heard....Let's get to work....

Packers vs Steelers....

...hmmmm...I remember in one of my earlier blogs I said the Packers and the Patriots would be in the Super Bowl...well I may not be too far off...

I am so looking forward to the NFC Championship game. The Packers and the Bears, one of the longest sports rivals of all sports, professional and collegiate. Cutler can not throw too many picks against this Packers defense with Woodson ready to pounce.

Brett Favre...

So Brett Favre is retiring? I think this one will stick. I saw Brett Favre play two times. Once for Green Bay in Minnesota in November of 2000, and in the NFC championship game in 2009 against New Orleans. I can understand the hoopla that surrounds him...dedication, determination and consistency. We may love or hate him. But we all can say that no matter what, he came to play. And in this day and age, that's saying a helluva lot....Thank you #4 for making winter Sundays exciting.

My best friend...

Today I lost my best friend.  She was slowly fading for the last few years...I just didn't see it. Maybe I did but didn't want to see it.  She and I have known each other since I knew myself. But, I'm not sad, well maybe a little.  The times we had, things we went through to make me what I am...wow...now that she's gone, I see things clearer. I am more aware of things, people too...I guess I can say in order for me to be the woman I am today, she had to go away...bet you're wondering what am I saying....simple. Today I lost my best friend....and she is my youth....I am a woman. Mind, body and soul. Just thought I'd share that.
